The oceans are being depleted, so even fishermen near the coast aren't bringing in nearly the haul they used to. It's actually a better idea to leave the fish in the sea, to preserve the ecosystem, but most people don't think like that.
The End Of The Line is a disturbing movie about the environmental depletion in the over-harvesting of fish. When you consider all these variables, it's not so odd that the fish is the most expensive option; after all, it's becoming scarcer and scarcer.
