These are words used in the lyrics of songs (or, at least pieces of vocal music) I like (in fact, they're all coming up on my iTunes list as I type, there's no other structure to it than that). Your task is to identify the song.

So ten rather eclectic pieces:

1. miner, family, armoury, faith "Between the Wars" - Billy Bragg - [livejournal.com profile] minx_minx

2. intergalactic, asteroid, green, Uranus, ETA: Mekon, ETA2: Treen

3. raven, cursed, fists, haunts, ETA: hate, ETA: Michael

4. bubbling, money, timbertops, apple, ETA: peevish, ETA2: lea

5. pixie, pellagra, clammy, paradise "I Wanna Go Back to Dixie" - Tom Lehrer - [livejournal.com profile] bopeepsheep

6. fourteen, keepers, wolves, hardships "Van Diemen's Land" - Steeleye Span - [livejournal.com profile] bopeepsheep

7. barren, healing, journey, anxious, ETA:Jordan, ETA: pilgrim "Guide me O thou great Jehovah" - in this case sung by the Tredegar Orpheus male Voice Choir - [livejournal.com profile] chocaholic7

8. school, stagnant, buttons, invisible, ETA: bankmanager, ETA: gold

9. bois, pigeon, donjon, carosse, ETA: bergère, ETA2: chasse

10. provost, key, beguiled, whore, ETA: Scots, ETA2: flower

Good heavens, my brain has just clicked into gear. Number 7 is indeed "Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah", which is roughly what I thought it was when you first posted this, but which I dismissed as being rather out of scope.

correct of course! out of scope? I said it was an eclectic mix.
