yup - I entirely agree with the comment about the beautifully produced books. I am reasonably sure that the reason that Borders and Ottakars can sell books so cheaply is because they have editions that are especially printed for them in poor quality paper and bindings. Sometimes, I find the paper feels "hollow" and I hate to see books produced in an unclear typeface - I can't really describe it really well - but it just looks cheap!!!
