US: Let Me Be Your Teddy Bear - Elvis Presley
These seem curiously apt.

US: Jive Talkin’ - The Bee Gees
Neither of which mean anything to me

Gallup was the main chart, and the one that Guinness used from 1970 on. The main commercial rival was the ILR chart which came out on Sundays and was printed in No.1 magazine, but not until the 1980s.
