Coming to terms with bear nature

Today is the first harbinger of winter. It's cold, windy, wet and grey. My bear nature is screaming "Hibernate! Hibernate!" and, indeed, I have spent much of the afternoon napping. Of course, I've had company. Padmini was curled up next to me on the bed when I was napping there and Rufina crawled onto my chest when I was kipping on the sofa. She promptly curled up and went to sleep but carried on purring at full volume. Kittens make everything better. I foresee many naps over the next few months.
