Actually, I think that may be the problem with Irish diners, too....they need the meat and three veg and a sweet after. *sigh* You, however, have the advantage of having been to Thailand and therefore having first hand experience of the food. Whereas I'm stuck in the situation where I couldn't afford to go anywhere exotic (except Namibia, because my dad took me) and now that I can I don't have the time or anyone to go with.
