A word?

There ought to be a word for things one knows only because of crossword puzzles. Perhaps there is. Crucisignifier or crypteme perhaps?

In French the person who does a crossword puzzle is a cruciverbiste, so - crucivocabulaire?

... and an old Max Favalelli one: "Elle a souvent le feu au derrière", in 9 letters, starting with C?

I don;'t think 'crucivocabulaire' has quite the sense I want since it seems to be confined to vocabulary rather than including, for example, knowing that Tirana is the capital of Albania or that Endymion is a poem, which are things I know solely because of crossword puzzles.

I'm afraid my French is not quite up to cryptic crosswords.

Ah, I see what you mean. Cruciscience?

And, well, the answer was "CASSEROLE" (usually reached after everyone exhaust their stocks of lewd double- and simple-entendres.)

Well all my feeble attempts began C-U-L so I can see how that might happen
