bon echo
It's a provincial park about 4 hours north east of Toronto. Its main features are Mazinaw Lake and Mazinaw Rock which is a large cliff rising straight from the east shore of the lake. The cliff gives the best multi-pitch rock climbing in Southern Ontario, much of it starting right from the boat.
moose
What's not to like about moose? I always enjoy seeing them when I'm canoeing. They are also intrinsically funny as Monty Python and the Holy Grail showed.
uncertainty principle
Surely one of the key ideas of modern physics. The idea that the universe is undeterminable at a certain level is profoundly fascinating.
One of several icons honouring 1066 And All That. Used mainly for language related posts.
From my copy of Wilde's Salome. It's a Limited Editions Club version from the 1930s. There are two copies; a French text with pochoir illustrations by Andre Derain and a facsimile of the first English edition with the Beardsley illustrations. The icon, of course, is Derain. Used for book and art posts.
Every armour geek's favourite, the trusty T34/85. What better way of making a point?
Comment if you would like to be subjected to my curiosity.
