There are over fifty people called Richard Head on Facebook. Apparently there is also a British Army major of the same name, serving in the Light Infantry.
A friend of mine in high school was dating this guy who *none* of us liked. We always called him Dickhead (though, certainly, not to his face. Most of the time, anyway.). My mom, who taught at my high school, caught wind of this once. "That's not very nice," she said. "Call him Richard Cranium instead!" :-)
The name stuck. Richard Cranium, unfortunately, went on to marry my best friend's younger sister (much to all of our chagrin) and we now refer to them as the Cranium family. I *almost* bought a copy of the game Cranium for Angela's bridal shower but couldn't bring myself to be quite that mean/snarky at such an event, even though I didn't approve of the relationship. :-)
The headmaster of the other primary school in my village was Richard Head. Our headmaster was never able to take him seriously. (They replaced him with someone named Millions, which I never realised was a surname but apparently there are 2 dozen or so adults with it on the electoral roll.)
There are 74 Richard Heads according to yournotme.com (sic), 561 Michael Hunts, and 49 people surnamed Bastard...
I so wanted to name the youngest 'Avyagrha' [He who cannot be distracted], but was talked out of it when the potential for shortening the name to Viagra was pointed out...
