Weird

I have this weird problem with my ears. They (especially the right one) feel blocked up like they do sometimes on a plane. I went to the clinic yesterday to get it checked out and they syringed my ears, which are apparently particularly convoluted, but today, if anything, it is worse. I am not in too much pain but my hearing is decidedly impaired which causes me to feel strangely isolated from my surroundings and quite edgy. I guess if it is still like this on Monday it will be back to the clinic.

I hate that. I get it too, but am too scared to go and get them syringed. Fear of the unknown I think. Mine seems to be my right ear more than my left, like I got water in it when swimming and it never came out again. Apart from the obvious problem with people sounding like they're talking to me from within a cavern, it also affects my balance. Makes me feel wobbly.

I hope it's better for you tomorrow, it's surely not meant to worse after having them done. If it's no better, get back down the clinic and stick your size tens up the nurse's jacksi! :)

Ooh, don't be scared of the syringing. It's fab! And if you're really lucky, you get to take the big ball of hard wax home with you afterwards!

They did say it might take a couple of days to come right. I have the balance issue too. It could be worse, my mate Paul had his whole inner ear go mushy or something and he had to have major reconstructive surgery and serious time off work. As he is probably the biggest workaholic in the UK education system that was pretty traumatic for him!
