More Bush cronyism

This story from The Globe and Mail is interesting from two points of view. It's another example of Bush appointing a clueless crony to office, in this case ambassador to Canada, and it reveals the extent to which the US Government regards non US citizens who are unfortunate enough to fall into its clutches as less than fully human. One might also add that it shows how gutless the Canadian government is when it comes to dealing with the bully state to the south.

I was just about to say that they seem to equate not being American with not being fully human, but that's wrong. It should be: not rich and American equates with not being fully human. Sadly, i don't think that poor man is the only one; I've seen similar stories before about people being frogmarched out of planes that were stopping to refuel or something.
