This feels weird

For a very large chunk of my life (roughly age 11 pretty much through my thirties) I wore a tie five or six days per week, most weeks of the year. For the last ten years or so, like most former tie wearers, the number of occasions on which I wear a tie have become less and less frequent. I'm not even sure when I last wore one. But today, I am wearing a tie and it feels very strange indeed. One wonders who came up with the idea in the first place.

I think ties are the silliest fashion yet invented, and I can't wait for them to go out. Cravats were OK. And stocks.
