Hateful word of the day

Can I just say that the word 'ontologizing' is vile and disgusting? It's bad enough that the IT world has hijacked 'ontology' to mean a controlled vocabulary crossed with an entity relationship diagram but to turn it into a verb is beyond unspeakable.

What's really funny is that most of the people who bang on about ontologies in the IT world have no idea that the word has another meaning.
