Another sign that I'll never be a grown up

Not only do I still shop at IKEA but I can be persuaded to buy a stuffed polar bear while ostensibly there to buy a chair. We also bought a cat toy.

I have a stuffed hippo I bought at Ikea a couple of years ago, which I love. He looks a bit like Moomintroll. Grown-upness overrated if such behaviour isn't allowed, I think.

We wouldn't have you be any other way.

Since when is shopping at Ikea a sign of not being a grown up? Admittedly, the polar bear might well be.

I'm not that susceptible to impulse buys when shopping but I don't think I've ever made it through IKEA without buying something unplanned. Odd thing is I've never regretted any of them. They must have a particularly seductive variety of rubbish :-)

I LOVE Ikea, have bi-yearly expeditions there with a pal and always find a gazillion things I HAVE to have. Such a brilliant, clever place.

Pic of the polar bear, please!

There's nowt wrong with Ikea, apart from some of the bizarre names ;)

We have bookcases from Ikea (amongst other things) that we bought over 12 years ago and every time we consider buying "more grown up" bookcases, we look at our old book cases and think "nah, they're still able to hold books, maybe next year".

For a while, the only biscuits/cookies our son would eat were Ikea's Ginger Snaps and we would go on regular pilgrimages only for these biscuits.

I bought two (Bjorn and Isbjorn) a couple of years ago. I'd gone for a coffee table.

Well, now that I've seen polar bear and chair, I can honestly say that they look good together :)

People have either good experiences or terrible with IKEA. I'm still in the good camp.

I have a plush hectopus on my couch, which my friends bought for me in chinatown, and two monsters for Where the Wild Things are on the shelf above my monitor.

We bought one of those polar bears for the young lemur, but his mom has taken to using it as a pillow.
