Spring Run Off

I find this most interesting. It's a sponsored run for prostate cancer research. It's the first time I've seen such a thing. Cancer related events are almost always either non site specific or focussed on breast cancer. Lung and prostate cancer kill just as many people as breast cancer but get far less research funding and attention generally.

Anus to Woody

I felt that this didn't deserve to be relegated to a comment on [livejournal.com profile] tanuja's LJ so I bring you the definitive list of rude place names.

Amuse me!

Should you feel so inclined either tell me something about you that I probably don't know and/or ask me a question.

And so it begins again

Just got the email. I have a pick-up game at the Cru on Sunday. Here's hoping I'm a bit less unfit and overweight than the other old buggers.

Somewhat kitten stressed

The kittens are at the point where we really need to get them off syringe feeding and into feeding themselves. In fact, I can't recall ever having to syringe feed kittens this big. Monster is pretty good. He will lap a paste of KMR and a/d from a bowl but the other two just really aren't interested. This is time consuming and stressful and as I have been responsible for three out of four feeds today I feel pretty much kittened out. It doesn't help that they really haven't figured out the litterbox yet so my office, which houses the kitten kondo. also provides a degree of olefactory stimulation that I could live without.

Odd coincidence department

I've just knocked back a couple of bottles of Wellington County Brewery "Iron Duke" with dinner. I'm now off to resume reading Robert Massie's Castles of Steel.
