Going home

Yesterday they installed the counters in the kitchen and we delivered the bathroom vanity.
Today/tomorrow the floors go in in the bedrooms and living/dining area and the kitchen gets finished minus the stove and dishwasher which are in storage.
By Saturday the place will be live;e.
On Sunday we move in with the kittehs even though we'll still be stoveless.
Tuesday the furniture and appliances get moved back in.
We won't quite be done. Ir will likely be a week or so before the ceiling fans and doors go in due to some supply issues and we still have to get blinds installed but we are getting there.
And our splendid contractor finally figured out the mysterious, has been going on for years, plumbing issue. One of the drain pipes is a mess. Basically when the place was built some dolt installed a 10m length of cast iron pipe with insufficient support and not enough fall. It's now "bellied" and internally corroded and definitely needs to be replaced. This is the building's issue rather than ours. It' a bit unfortunate that our rather loony downstairs neighbour, who has consistently blamed us for all the problems, will bear the brunt of the disruption the fix will cause as they will have to go in through her ceiling.
