I made myself a fried egg sandwich for breakfast. So eager to get at the egg dripping from it onto my plate was a certain small grey cat that she ended up with egg on her head. She seems to think this is some sort of feline fashion statement.
Not dead yet
Feb. 14th, 2009 01:22 pmToday was the first day of Nomads' pre season training under the dome at UCC. The turnout was mixed. The U18s (including many of my squad from last year) and the U16s were out in force. The girls were there in numbers too but where were the senior men? There may have been more junior coaches than senior players there. I joined in most of the drills that didn't involve contact or lifting so I probably got around a 90 minute work out. I got through it better than I expected but I suspect I will be very sore tomorrow.
In other news, Miss Grey Kitten appears to be in serious training for the World Snuggling Championships. She hardly leaves me alone for more than a few minutes at a time. Serious nose bonking is involved.

All three felines had their annual check ups and shots yesterday. Everyone is very healthy. They all behaved themselves quite well though Padmini yowled horribly in the car. Jane hid under the bed when she saw the bengals being loaded into carriers and then, as she does, became shoulder cat at the vet.

I had a bit of a rough night. First I couldn't find a comfortable position for the arm with the pinched nerve then after getting to sleep I had a series of the weirdest dreams before finally waking up around 0230. I mucked about on the intahwebs for an hour or so with Jane snuggling aggressively in my lap before finally trying to get some more sleep. Jasne obviously felt this was much less important than giving her scritches because she crawled in right next to my chest (she usually sleeps by my feet) and gave me a series of aggressive wet nose pokes to the arm whenever she felt that the scritches were not coming at the proper rate. Fortunately she did finally let me get a couple of hours more sleep.
