Post a picture of a cat in your journal. (Your cat, a lolcat, or someone else's cat. But preferably yours, if possible.)

All three felines had their annual check ups and shots yesterday. Everyone is very healthy. They all behaved themselves quite well though Padmini yowled horribly in the car. Jane hid under the bed when she saw the bengals being loaded into carriers and then, as she does, became shoulder cat at the vet.

Kitten Kolonisation
Aug. 12th, 2007 04:18 pmLast weekend we bought a loft bed for the home office as part of a strategy of being able to accommodate occasional guests without giving up any other needed space.
Now, if one erects a comfy platform six feet above the floor guess what happens?

Fun with vets
Aug. 2nd, 2007 08:26 amAs we currently have shelter kittens we decided that there was no excuse for not getting Padmini and Jane's shots up to date. We tend only to do this when one of the cats has to go to the vet for other reasons as the process is usually fairly traumatic. True to form, Jane realised what was up and almost managed to hide long enough to avoid the trip. Eventually I managed to catch her and a really hard time getting her into the carrier. Once at the vet though she was a sweetie. She spent the time in the waiting room mostly wrapped around my neck and was very good with the vet. Padmini was easy to catch but yowled and yowled fit to bust all the way to the vet. She also threw quite a hissy fit when he tried to examine her. Both cats are in great shape and now are up to date for Rabies and Feline Leukemia. Jane isn't speaking to me yet though.
The kittens are still doing well and their eyes are beginning to open.

Well not really spoilers as I haven't read the book and have no idea if it's true.

Definitely a cat morning
May. 10th, 2007 09:41 amIt's been a cat morning. First, Jane wanted to play fight for a long time. No blood thankfully. Later, she jumped in my lap for a cuddle and, unusually, weanted to be carried when I went to make coffee. Then Padmini wanted to sit on my chest while I was trying to work. Just now, Leela wanted a cuddle which almost never hgappens so I guess I'm seen as a reasonable lemur substitute. Finally, Janey scared the living daylights out of me by jumping onto the back of the chair I was setting in and arriving with a very loud 'mraowr' right next to my ear.
