I am currently rereading Bruce Chatwin's What Am I Doing Here and enjoying it enormously. I have always admired Chatwin's travel writing, especially In Patagonia and The Songlines but what is getting my attention this time is his cool expertise on and advocacy for relatively little known modern painters. He has me wanting to rush out and find examples of people I have never heard of like Donald Evans and has me looking with new eyes at works I do know, like some of the Constructivists. It is very invigorating.

I was seduced by the male presenter of a radio show I appeared on in Germany

FALSE - He tried pretty damn hard but virtue triumphed. I did appear on Sud Deutsche Rundfunk in the summer of 1976.

My great aunt captained the Welsh lawn bowls team at the Empire games in Cardiff

FALSE - Oddly enough family legend claims this is true but my researches suggest that there wasn't a women's bowls competition in Cardiff.

I am addicted to bungee jumping

FALSE - I have never bungee jumped. Truth is, despite all the rock climbing I have done I am quite frightened of heights.

I role play a female, highly evolved, feline head of state in 'Nation States'

TRUE - http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=display_nation/nation=the_bengals. Sad isn't it?

I once had a long discussion about Chaucer with a farmer from Mississippi

FALSE - The farmer was from Arkansas.

So now you know.
