chickenfeet: (rugby)
So I have this on again, off again fascination with running a marathon. I am sure I could do it if I was prepared to set aside four months to prepare for it. Unfortunately, I don't think I could play/train for rugby and train for a marathon at the same time. The competing sets of stresses would be pretty much bound to end in injury. So would I quit rugby for four months to run a marathon? I don't think so, so the only window would be December through March with the race itself in early April. That would mean training through the winter which would be tough but not impossible. Maybe next year?
