Getting better
Feb. 11th, 2004 11:33 amI posted a few days ago that I was feeling really cold and I was pretty sure that I was fighting some kind of bug. Trying to run on Monday tended to confirm that as I had to give up after a few minutes. Aching lungs and feeble muscles don't make for a happy runner especially in the cold. Today I tried again and while I am still not fully fit (weird discomfort in the lungs) I did manage 30 minutes at a reasonable pace.
Really, training in the winter is hard. There are so many days when one is either a little off colour, the weather is impossible or work commitments make running at a sensible time of day difficult. Its very difficult to stick to any kind of schedule.
