So, a very good French side put away the outclassed Canadians quite handily but it was entertaining. Unbeknown to me we (the Nomads) had a hospitality tent where for an extra $20 one could get food and unlimited beer. I think everyone on the bus took up the offer so the trip back was raucous even by Nomad standards.

We didn't get there in time to see the Ontario vs Quebec women's game but I feel justified in claiming that Ashley Rycroft is the cutest prop forward in the history of the game.

It's 26C with a Humidex reading of 32 here today which is not really ideal rugby weather. I played about 55 minutes of today's game all at flanker and no. 8 and I am exhausted. There were only two games on offer in the area today and one of those was in Hamilton so I just showed up at the Ottawa/Niagara game and got a game with the Ottawa guys. They were a nice bunch. Not so of course the nasty NOB opposition. I took exception to some of their no. 8's throwing people around after the tackle and indiscriminate use of the elbow and we went at it a couple of times but no serious damage was done. I only ever get in that kind of dust up against that one team. Odd really.
