A more soothing afternoon
Jul. 21st, 2004 04:31 pmAfter a hellacious morning the afternoon wasn't too awful. Mosty this was because i spent a good half of it driving to and from Markham-Stouffville hospital which gave me some quality listening time; the conclusion of Seamus Heaney reading his translation of Beowulf and the first episode of a BBC dramatisation of Zola's La Bete Humaine. I love listening to Heaney read. He has a wonderful voice and whatever the puristd may say, I enjoy his translation. Sure beats slaving away at the pension mines.
