I don't often do craft type stuff (apart from cooking) partly because I am a bit of a klutz and partly because small fiddly things and bengals don't mix very well. However, this morning I extracted the fossilised and corroded remains of the ink sacs and J bars from two lever filling 1950's vintage fountain pens (a Wasp and a Conway-Stewart 388 for anyone who cares). Now I need to get some replacement parts and I will be all set. Neither of these pens is in great cosmetic condition but both write well when dipped so I think they will be worth the cost of the parts. Besides I want to practice resaccing a pen before I try it on anything more valuable.
