One down...
Aug. 25th, 2004 11:19 amSo I repaired my first fountain pen. It's a Canadian manufactured Wasp. Not a great pen but it works (now). Apart from cleaning I had to remove the sticky, gummy remains of the ink sac and corroded J bar, install new J bar, trim new ink sac to fit and glue it to the nipple. All seems to be in good working order now.
ETA: On a roll here. I also fixed up a Conway-Stewart 388 that I picked up for C$15 on the weekend. It's now in great shape apart from a brassed clip.
