Nov. 28th, 2004 03:10 pmLast night: Comfort food! Potato and corn chowder with French bread. It's freezing here. Winter food is in.
Tonight: Choucroute garnie with fingerling potatoes. The choucroute is cooked with double smoked Hungarian bacon, fresh pork and two kinds of Ukrainian sausage; one smoked, one not. Half a bottle of Riesling helps!
I foresee more winter staples over the next few weeks.
