Another hot weekend

The temperature has climbed back into the 30s here and we haven't had much rain for a while so it's hot and dusty and the ground is like concrete. I played a ten-a-side game in Markham yesterday on a pitch that had very litle grass on iy with a result that I know have some nasty scrapes on one knee and one elbow. It was stinking hot and I played on the wing which isn't by any means my preference as I have basically little idea what I am supposed to be doing. But it was a game of rugby which was better than no game of rugby. Net result, I was totally zonked by very early eveing and just about awake enough to watch old Red Dwarf episodes until it wasn't too absurdly early to go to bed.

I went for a gentle run first thing this morning but my legs are so weak it was really hard going and only really worth it to run off any stiffness from Sunday. Working out hard in the heat is really debilitating. Forecast is for the temperatures to stay high all week so no relief is in site.
