38 off the last four overs? This is a test match right?

Yesterday was unsatisfactory on so many levels; the rain, batsmen getting in then getting out and so on, and at stumps yesterday it was pretty much honours even. Today, though has been England's day. Despite the early loss of Pietersen, Flintoff and Jones built a partnership that put England firmly in command. It wasn't just the runs. It was the fact that the Australians looked like a losing side. When a batsman comes in with the new ball due and the fielding captain sets a one day field one has to believe that he doesn't have much faith in his bowlers.

Vaughan, to his credit, attacked from the outset with four and five fielders in catching positions. He also brought Jones into the attack early. So, some fine seam bowling leaves England in a very strong position. Even with Katich and Gilchrist at the the wicket another 277 to avoid the follow on seems a big ask.
