Lazy sunday
Oct. 17th, 2005 09:02 amYesterday was perhaps the laziest day I have had in ages. I did do some cooking in the morning but that was about it. A large part of the reason was that I reinjured my back on Saturday and couldn't run or play rugby like I was supposed to. Mostly I switched back and forth between computer stuff with added kitten cuddling and slothing in the bedroom doing crosswords and re-reading Peter Ackroyd's London: A Biography. In the process the lemur and I finished three Guardian/Observer crosswords including Saturday's Prize Crossword. This came as something as a surprise as we both think (with reason) that we are pants at the Guardian crossword and tend to do the rather easier Torygraph instead. (Incidentally, the lemur is the only Merkan I know who has achieved a decent level of competence with English cryptics. She is a clever circus primate.) I think somewhere I interrupted the excitement to take a nap.
After dinner (daube and an orange and romaine salad) I listened to the morning session in the hugely disappointing so-called test match from Sydney. That proved a suitably soporific end to a very low key day.
