chickenfeet: (fishy)
A T&T Supermarket has opened near us. This is a great boon as it saves trips to China Town with hard to find pay parking. Also the new place is shiny and clean and has a great selection including in store bakery, in store BBQ and in store sushi bar. There are a few specialty Thai products that they don't seem to stock but generally the selection is much better than at most stores in Chinatown.

Today's haul included assorted dumplings for the freezer, interesting veggies, mochi, Vietnamese salad rolls, beef shank, a couple of different kinds of bean curd, steamed pork buns plus store cupboard necessities. I shall do some Thai and some Chinese cooking with the swag. I see Chinese celery with soft beancurd, chicken with garlic, basil and chillis, green mango and shrimp salad, a hotpot of beef shank, dried mushrooms and beancurd and some baby gai lan, perhaps stirfried with ginger and sesame oil.

Mmmm
