Wales v. Australia
Nov. 30th, 2008 05:16 pmThat really was the best game of rugby I've seen in ages. The first Welsh try was fantastic and both sides played with skill, pace and intensity for 80 minutes. Ultimately I guess one would have to say that Moore's yellow card was the turning point and I don't think I've ever seen a more obvious yellow card.
Australia really do need to sort their scrum out. They get away with a lot from referees who don't understand front row play but to be honest their faffing about on the opposition put in should have all three of them in the bin for repeated infringements.
I think the Welsh will make up a huge proportion of the Lions come summer. I could make a case for the Welsh back row and the whole back division (bar Shanklin - surely O'Driscoll will wear 13). The front five will be Anglo-Irish I think. I doubt that any of the Scots will make the starting 15.
