The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me. It will be about or tailored to those five lucky "victims."

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
- what I create will be just for you.
- it'll be done this year
- you have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a poem or story. I may make something all craft-y like.
- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you have to put this in your journal as well, if you expect me to do something for you!

Possible restatements:

1. Heat can spontaneously flow from a higher-temperature region to a lower-temperature region, but not the other way around, unless the higher temperature region is a cat.

2. The entropy of an isolated system not in equilibrium will tend to increase over time but it will increase much faster if the system includes a cat

I'm guessing people use cordage less than was once the case what with plastic ties and sticky tape and so on. Thus I wonder how widespread the ability to tie things up. down or to each other is. So clearly a poll is required.

This the Toronto equivalent of eating a roast turkey dinner when it's 40C in Melbourne.

Here we have six burners at Hart House Farm, near Caledon, on a freezing Victoria Day weekend trying to pretend they are in the Nevada desert. It snowed the next day. I'm not making this up.

Corrupt Afghan government is as big a problem as the Taliban. So remind me again why young Canadians are dying to keep them in power. Has there ever been a 'government' in Afghanistan that wasn't a bunch of gangsters fronting up to meet the 'international community's laughably low standards for being recognised as such? Will another few hundred dead Canadians change that? Heck as like.
