State of the bear

My Achilles seems to have cleared up. I'll give it a go tonight reffing some touch at Nomads Night. I was offered the Bay St vs Buccs first team game (playing tonight to make up a fixture rained out earlier in the season) but that seemed like a pretty high risk come back option so I declined.

After struggling with wax build up in my ears for the last few weeks (to the point of partial hearing loss) I got them sorted yesterday. It's a very weird feeling but worth it.

Still waiting to hear on a couple of jobs. This is making me very anxious and causing seriously weird anxiety dreams.

Jane is being exceptionally squiggly and attention seeking. Sometimes even when food is not involved.

One of my 500GB hard drives died a couple of nights ago. I bought a new 2TB drive for $120. Set up is now 750GB in the iMac and a 2TB media drive backed up by Time Capsule to a second 2TB drive. This leaves me with a spare 500GB drive. The lemur's iMac has a 1TB internal backed up to a 1TB external drive. We are thus a 7.25TB household.

Preparing the liferaft

It's becoming harder to believe in Live Journal as a viable long term platform. I don't like to give in to Putin's goons or whoever else is responsible for the DDOS attacks but one thing is clear; LJ's defences are about as much use as the Maginot Line. I'm not quite ready to jump ship but I think I am going to start crossposting to Dreamwidth and LJ and I have added all the LJ accounts that I read that aren't dupes of Dreamwidth accounts to my Dreamwidth reading page. I guess at some point I'll add the syndicated feeds that aren't in my RSS reader.

Anyone know of an iPod Touch/iPhone app for Dreamwidth?

Newbie dumbass question

What do I have to do to read LJ entries on my Dreamwidth Reading page? I have "subscribed" to over 100 LJ accounts but they don't show up even though I can see public entries on LJ.
