In the land of the one-eyed

My vision in my right eye has clearly been deteriorating for 6-12 months so I got things checked out today. As I half suspected I have cataracts on that side and will probably need surgery. The chances are that they will probably do both eyes which will mean I'll have better uncorrected vision than at any time in my life! Silver linings and all that! Next step, wait for the opthalmologist to whom I have been referred to get back to me.
