RIP

A couple of days ago my venerable 6 year old iMac went "pfft" and the screen went a blank purply blackbrown.  A trip to Carbon Computing this morning confirmed the preliminary Dx of "dead graphics card".  Apple's death panel has decided that providing healthcare for 6 year old machines is not hip so it was swiftly euthanized.  The new strategy is that we will share the lemur's current iMac and a new 13" MacBook Air.  We have no shortage of external HD space to make the Air's limitations in that department no real problem and it will allow the lemur some flexibility in where she works.
