I think I might actually becoming a real opera critic. This is a label I have rather tended to resist as it triggers impostor syndrome redoubled in spades. That said, I am currently working on four pieces for Opera Canada magazine and I'm scheduled to speak to the Massey College Opera Club next month. Must check the critics style guide to see if it's acceptable to say that Elisabeth Schwarzkopf sings Strauss like she has a stick up her bum...
