Crazy stalker woman just showed up at my building. Fortunately the concierge wouldn't let her come up so I went down to the lobby. She is just insane. I'm not sure what options, if any, I have at this point. Thank heavens for 24 hour security!

Eeep! It's one thing to have her phoning; another to think that she's around the building... :-( I'm glad that the concierge was firm. I hope he/she will let the other shifts know about her, too.

It is both the case that I Am Not A Lawyer and that I Am Not A Canadian Lawyer. But, I'd go to the police and get a restraining order.

Now, the utility of such a restraining order in the United States is somewhat, umm, well, tarnished... But it puts you on record as a) having a problem with this person; and b) refusing to deal with this person.

Yipes! What everyone else said. I'd get it on the record somehow ASAP since I infer from the rugby stuff that you are a big man, and subsequent altercations might look bad if there's no prior record. If that makes any sense.

I'll echo the restraining order. Also - document everything. all ninety gazillion crazy phone calls, with the times, dates, contents. Save the tapes, maybe. I don't think you'll get an order just by asking for it; you need to prove theres a problem first. Over here, anyway. I don't know about Canada.
