Speculation in the TMS coverage was that Allan Donald had implemented a fines system for bowlers who overstepped and/or sprayed the ball off the cut strip. At my level of cricket, such fines have always had to be paid in jugs of beer, which may explain the sorry state of Michael Vaughan following the victory celebrations of victory at Old Trafford.
