The day so far

Party preparations are essentially complete. This is good.

Our plumbing has had a mysterious and catastrophic failure which is, to say the least, highly inconvenient. This is double plus ungood.

This being a well equipped condo building we can make alternative arrangements for the party guests that do not involve either litter boxes or "the very latest in front-wall,
fresh-air orifices, combined with a wide-capacity gutter installation below." This is good.

We have alcohol and fantastic friends coming. This makes up for everything.

Sorry I was a no-show. My plane was several hours late, so I got in late, and since I had to be up early...well, you know how it is. Hope it is/was a blast.
