Having bemoaned the absence of further book etc storage space I did the only sensible thing and headed out to the Sales at the book and record stores. I was fairly sensible; I book, 2DVDs and 2CDs.

Observed in the remainder bin; Mastering Mac OS 8.5 . Is there anything sadder than a really obsolete computer book. On a very vaguely related note, does anyone know how to clean a computer keyboard. Peering into the depths of mine is giving me a rather queasy feeling.

Alternatively, I got given a computer keyboard mini-vacuum cleaner for Christmas. Not tried it yet.

Tried that. To be honest this KB looks more like it needs a trip to the power washer in the parking garage. I suspect that that would be bad for it though.

Ranj has a copy of Starting FORTH, but he got it in the 80s sometime, so I don't think that counts. :)

I used to have a copy of An Introduction to PL1 but that was acquired in 1975.

Pry the keys off with a letter opener, clean up gunk with cotton swabs.

I've sucessfully used a diswasher on non-USB keyboards. Place upside-down on top rack. Let it dry upside-down overnight.
