chickenfeetI made the mistake of trying to watch Richard Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos after slightly too much wine with dinner. I went to bed very confused!
Hypothesis; one needs to be either sober or very drunk to watch 20th century opera, probably depending on the composer. I think Henze would come into the category of totally paralytic.
