We have now spent three nights in our temporary digs. It's a bit cramped but quite nice. The biggest issue, inevitably, has been the vats. The bengals have adapted reasonably well although Padmini peed on the duvet the first night. Jane though has had a rough time. She spent the entire first night on a shelf staring at us and then spent all day under the bed covers. I don't think she ate or drank for 48 hours. After seeming normal on Sunday night, she spent all day yesterday hiding in a corner. She was more normal last night and wanted to play this morning so that's progress. We'll see how today goes.
As to Kitten Kondo 2.0, work will start tomorrow or Thursday. It's empty except for a few bits and pieces that we will pick up today. The basement storage unit is totally full, as is a 10'x10' off site unit. This despite having thrown out masses of stuff. It's astonishing how , as one sorts through "stuff', there always seems to be more.
Just to complicate matters there doesn't seem to be any possible route between there and here; a distance of no more than 5km, not affected by major road works.
