Just suppose a popular uprising in Mexico City overthrew the government on the grounds that it was massively corrupt and unduly influenced by the United States. Just suppose the new government announced that it was going to scrap NAFTA and pursue an economic, diplomatic and military alliance with Russia. How might the United States react?
