chickenfeet Just finished a reread of Norman Lewis' Naples '44. It;s one of those books that makes one wonder how on earth the Allies actually won WW2 (OK we know the answer. The Russians). It also weirdly casts a light on why US occupation forces are always such fuck ups. Answer: They are stupid and deeply corrupt.
