back in about 1981. The cast was amazing. Somehow each actor was the
perfect fit for their character, which is rare in such a small
production. Our director really brought out all the elements you talk
about. As the lighting person I ended up in tears at the end of the show
every night. The venue was a converted Circle K store that sat about 40.
A couple years later I saw Zero Mostel in Fiddler, on Broadway, and
really hated the production. Compared to our production it was completely
flat and Zero spent most of his time effectively saying (and acting)
"Look at ME aren't I Great". No he wasn't. I also worked a touring
company of Fiddler that was rather Meh. So glad you saw a really good
one, it really is a great show.
