So I was running along Queen's Quay this afternoon. There was a person of the alcoholic/homeless/streetperson persuasion coming in the opposite direction. No big deal, as anyone who has ever been in downtown Toronto will know they are regrettably numerous. I made to sidestep around this person when he gave me a elbow and forearm shot to the upper body. I spun around, fists up (its a reflex reaction). He starts sounding off about how he's a black belt in karate and what he's going to do to me yadda yadda. Now if this guy was a black belt then I'm Mother Theresa and I confess that a little voice in my head was urging violent retribution. Fortunately my better self prevailed and I carried on my way, admittedly a little shaken.
