Peter Ustinov has died. I met him once, at a dinner at Collingwood, in the early 90's. I suspect that he was the funniest person I shall ever meet.

In other news, it is that part of the lunar cycle when Padmini goes manic and I have strange dreams. Last night her scritch scratching around the bedroom was so bad that [livejournal.com profile] lemur_catta insisted that I shut her out. I knew that if I did that she would cry so I went and slept on the couch so she would have some company.

Oh right, make me out to be the mean one. The part of the story he's not telling is that she cried just as much with him out there.

Hi There! I was just nosing around for more LJ friends, and saw you were interested in Cornwall. I live down here, and I was also very upset about Peter Ustinov passing. :>( I've never met him, but I am a huge fan. You were very lucky to have known him....Also sounds like you're animal mad like me.....my cats, rule my life xxx

Ironically a version of Rebecca is on TV as I write. Not a very good version but the lady herself is cute. Cornwall is a place I am always going back to. I have been visiting on and off for perhaps 35 years and part of my heart is always there. In the last analysis, only Northumberland and Durham occupy a similar mental space.
