chickenfeet: (padmini)

I write mostly using fountain pens and prefer a nib that writes fairly wet. This naturally produces the scenario for which blotting paper was conceived. I have found however that bengals provide an effective and economical substitute. No bengal can resist the temptation to roll over a newly penned MS.

Um. I'm guessing that you don't mean a small bengal tiger, though a non-squirmy housecat-sized feline might work as blotter.

Which sort of beast do you mean?

One of these (http://www.sentex.net/~bengal/BengalInfoMenu.html). I live with two of them.

They don't smudge the ink? Hmmm... *eyes puppycat* I don't think I can try that. I usually just blow on the paper 'til the ink dries. (I love fountain pens, especially with a reasonably wet nib - the writing is so smooth & quick.)

Aaargh! I'm sure I've come across this scenario (kitten used as blotter) somewhere in a book but can't remember where, drat, drat, drat, I hate that.
