First ski trip of the year
Jan. 9th, 2004 07:17 amLater today
lemur_catta and I will head up to Collingwood for the fist ski weekend of the season. Fortunately they have had plenty of snow in the last week but the forecast is a bit daunting:
It is almost as bad here: -22 dry bulb, -33 with the wind chill.
I have skied in these sort of temperatures before but I confess that I am not sure that a first time out in the relatively unfrequented Kolapore Swamp Wilderness is prudent. A broken ski or a broken leg could be fatal.
