Sunny Sunday
May. 31st, 2004 08:59 amYesterday was one of the most pleasant days this year so far; sunny and 18C. All in all, a very good day to be playing rugby, which is just as well because I was; XLs vs Men'O'Paws at Sunnybrook. We got majorly stuffed but despite that it was fun. I do wish though that persons lifting me in the lineout would resist the temptation to chase after an overthrown ball as this does tend to involve abandoning me, off balance and at some considerable distance off the ground. Memo to lifters; I am not immune to gravity!
Afterwards to a really rather nice Irish pub in a very surprising location. It was a place called McCarthy's and it's on Gerrard east of Coxwell in the middle of a residential area. It's small, is actually run by Irish people, plays decent music and has Mill Street beers on tap. Rather a good find but a bit out of the way for me though I suppose one could combine a trip with a meal in little India.
